KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 : MIC President Datuk Seri G. Palanivel lashed out at his predecessor Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu for unnecessarily meddling in MIC affairs.
“It is time to allow me to do it my way to improve the living standard of Indians in the country. I have done more for the Indian community in my short period as MIC president than Samy Vellu had done in his almost 30 years. Whatever he has claimed he did for the Indians he wants to keep for himself or his family” slammed Palanivel.
“He should also resign as the special envoy to South Asia. Since he became the special envoy how much business has he brought to Malaysia from this region? Instead of concentrating on his duties as the special envoy he is meddling with MIC affairs and instigating others to go against me. It is an open secret that he is the hidden hand who is instigating those who are going against me” Palanivel further claimed in his statement.
