KUALA LUMPUR, March 6- Security in and Semporna towns is getting back to normal with traffic building up while shops reopened. However, the police were still manning roadblocks and conducting patrols in both towns.
In Lahad Datu, shops were closed at 7 pm while restaurants remained open until midnight.
Three schools in the Lahad Datu District, which were closed since March 1, were reopened today after the police declared the area safe. Eight schools, which are still closed, are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tambisan, SK Lok Buani, SK Fajar Harapan, SK Tanjung Labian, SK Sahabat 16, SK Sahabat 4, SK Cenderawasih, and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Desa Kencana.
However, residents from Kampung Tanduo, Tanjung Labian, Tanjung Batu, Tanagian and Sungai Bilis are still sheltered at the Embara Budi Hall and Fajar Harapan Hall in Lahad Datu.
