Tourists from China, India in Singapore can apply for VOA to visit Malaysia via Johor

visa-on-arrival-malaysiaJOHOR BAHARU, November 13 – Starting Nov 1, tourists from India and China in Singapore who wish to visit Malaysia are allowed to apply for visa-on-arrival (VoA) at the Sultan Abu Bakar Complex (KSAB), Tanjung Kupang, Johor.

Announcing this, Johor Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Tee Siew Kiong said this had also made KSAB as the only land entry point with VoA facility in addition to five entry points by air.

The five air entry points with VoA facility are the Bayan Lepas International Airport, Penang; Senai International Airport, Johor; Kota Kinabalu International Airport, Sabah; Kuching International Airport, Sarawak; and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA and KLIA2).

As such, tourism industry players should take this announcement as a golden opportunity for them to lure more tourists and take the tourism industry to greater heights, he told reporters at after visiting the KSAB today.

Among the terms and conditions for the issuance of the VoA are the applicant must have a validated return ticket and sufficient fund of US$1,000, and to pay a processing fee of RM330 (US$100) per person.
