COMMENT BY YB PROF P.RAMASAMY, DEPUTY CHIEF MINISTER II, PENANG
Beyond the Indus Valley Civilisation
The discovery of a 3, 200-Year Old Tamil Civilisation in Tamil Nadu raises questions about whether the Indus Valley Civilisation or IVC was the oldest known civilisation in the Indian Subcontinent.
The existence of other civilisations, particularly in Tamil Nadu signifies that IVC might not be the only ancient civilisation that was contemporary to other civilisations in Sumeria and Mesopotamia.
The discovery in Tamil Nadu about ancient Tamil civilisations might provide the links whether there was a common pre-Dravidian existence that went beyond the IVC.
Discovery of ancient Tamil or Dravidian civilisations also raises questions about the validity or invalidity of the Aryan Invasion or Migration Theory.
I wonder what would be the response of the Indian political establishment that subtly promotes the Hindutva conception of society.
