SHAH ALAM, May 1 – Barisan Nasional (BN) has demanded Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim to explain sale of land after the Selangor state assembly was dissolved.
Selangor BN coordinator Datuk Seri Mohd Zin Mohamed said the land sale involved 1,960 hectares identified as Canal City flood alleviation project cancelled by Abdul Khalid in 2011.
“We were informed that the land transation was made on April 15 while the Selangor state assembly was dissolved on April 4.
“It transaction involved state government subsidiary Permodalan Negeri Selangor Bhd (PNSB) and Dijaya Corporation Bhd.
“The sale was confirmed by PNSB chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Omar although it was denied by Abdul Khalid,” he told a press conference here today.
The Selangor government action was contrary to the role of a caretaker government since it has long term impact whereas it should administer existing infrastructure.
Mohd Zin who is also Selangor BN election deputy director said the land were sold at RM25 per square foot, lower than the market price of RM100 per square foot.
The pieces of land involved were located in Cyberjaya, Kota Kemuning and Puchong. Asked about the removal of posters of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Klang yesterday, he described the act as childish.
“Why be afraid of posters of Datu Seri Najib? We know the impact he has on Selangor people and they can see the success and development,” he added.
