Hundreds of BJP workers protested against the gang rape and murder of two teenage cousins on 27 May 2014.
Three suspects were arrested and face murder and rape charges that could result in the death penalty.
Two policemen were also arrested and sacked following allegations of complicity and inaction in the case.
