New delhi, July 11 – A few days ago Shah Rukh Khan had dropped in on the set of Rohit Shetty directed Singham Returns to say hello. The Chennai Express actor also exchanged pleasantries with Ajay Devgn, who stars in the film. The two stars even hugged each other warmly much to the shock of others present on the set.
Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn were never known to be the best of friends. After their films Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar had released on the same day in 2012 Diwali there were talks of a cold war from both sides.
Ajay’s bone of contention was that Yash Raj Films had pressurised exhibitors and unfairly taken more screens for their film Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Though SRK was not directly responsible for it, Ajay had an in an interview had stated that SRK never tried to stop it or say anything about it.
The happiest person on the day was Rohit Shetty who had grown very close to SRK after the success of Chennai Express. He must heaved a sigh of relief that he won’t have to constantly divide his loyalties between his two favourite leading men.
When Rohit Shetty was asked about Shah Rukh and Ajay’s meeting on the set of Singham Returns, he said, “Footage hai mere paas of Ajay and Shah Rukh hugging. Ek crore mein doonga! Chahiye kisiko?”
Laughing further he jested, “Publicity ke kaam mein aayega yaar!”Reportedly Rohit now plans to include the footage in the making of Singham Returns, whose first trailer releases officially this afternoon.
