“This might be true but if UMNO decides on this, it will not get any Indian or Chinese votes anywhere in Malaysia and that includes Kadazan, Muruts and Ibans and Dayaks, Orang Asli and others! The simple fact is this – we need each other to survive. No one race can hope to rule Malaysia on its own let alone tiny Negri Sembilan” Sivarraajh said in a statement today.
“The reasons why MIC, MCA and Gerakan were wiped out in the last general election are well known. The Jeram Padang seat, the only seat won by MIC candidate in Negeri Sembilan was won because many Malays in the constituency voted for an Indian although he was from a non-UMNO party” Sivarraajh said.
Sivarraajh also reminded Hassan that BN managed to win about 30 Parliamentary seats along the West Coast because of the minority votes and as a result “he should be short-sighted”.
“Hassan should think first before opening his mouth and he should not damage BN’s chances in many other areas, by taking all Malay majority seats in Negri Sembilan. Again what might work in your tiny Negri Sembilan, will not work in other larger States like Johore or Selangor or Pahang which have sizeable minority votes” Sivarraajh warned.
