Kuala Lumpur, August 21 – Health Minister and current Acting President of MIC Dato Seri Dr S.Subramaniam was today unanimously elected as the 9th President of MIC.
The nominations for the re-election for the post of President was held today from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm at the MIC Headquarters.
When nominations closed, Returning Officer Datuk B.Sahadevan announced that Dato Seri Dr S.Subramaniam was the only candidate nominated by the branches across the country and therefore declared that he has been elected as the new President of MIC.
