Kuala Lumpur – MIC Secretary General A.Sakthivel has advised party members to refrain from attending forthcoming Bersih 4.0 rallies and warned stern disciplinary action would be taken against those participating in these rallies.
“On behalf of Malaysian Indian Congress, I wish to advise all the members of MIC that the Malaysian government and the Malaysian Police have declared the forthcoming Bersih 4.0 as illegal. In this regard all MIC members are advised not to participate in these rallies. I wish to state that the party will not hesitate to take stern disciplinary action against those found to have participated in these rallies” Sakthivel said in a press statement released today.
Party leaders will keep a watch on these rallies to find out whether any MIC members are participating in these rallies, Sakthivel further said.
