Chennai – Popular Tamil actress Manorama who created a Guinness record for acting in more than 1,000 films over a period of 55 years died of multiple organ failure yesterday. She was 78 and is survived by her son Boopathy.
She is credited with acting with 5 Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu, namely C.N.Annadurai, Karunanithi, MGR, V.N.Janaki and Jayalalitha.
She was also a popular singer having rendered hundreds of songs in many movies.
