KUANTAN, March 12 – The Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah(Pic) has urged to unite and pray for the safety of security forces members protecting the country’s sovereignty in Lahad Datu, Sabah. Saddened by the intrusion which has claimed the life of nine security forces members, he want the people to fully support the offensive action taken by the government.
“As a citizen and ruler of Pahang, I feel very sad by what is happening. We must pray for the safety of our people and heroes who are fighting against terrorists in Sabah,” he told reporters after opening Sultan Ahmad Shah nursery here today.
He also urged the people to support action being taken by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. Mosques throughout Pahang will hold ‘solat hajat’ (special prayers) for the safety of security forces members in Sabah. Sultan Ahmad Shah reminded the people not to talk ill of what is happening in Sabah.
“Don’t sit down in coffeeshops and talk nonsense,” he said adding keeping the harmony and security is not solely the responsibility of security forces but also every citizen.
