Kuala Lumpur – MIC President Dato Seri Dr S.Subramaniam, has called on the party members to put the legal battles behind and urged them to unite and reconcile in the light of unambiguous decision by the Federal Court.
“The Federal Court today dismissed with cost a leave application by Dato Seri Palanivel and others against the Registrar of Societies.This brings to an end a long legal tussle which has embroiled the MIC from February till now.This legal battle has caused the MIC to be fractured and has also cast an air of uncertainty among the MIC members.With the very clear decision of the Federal Court the matter has been resolved with a finality” Dr Subra responded immediately upon hearing the Federal Court’s ruling.
“I hope with this, the process of reconciliation and consolidation of the MIC can proceed without any form of interference and with greater certainty.Let us put the past behind us and move forward with greater will and energy.The community is waiting with great hope and eagerness.Congratulations to our legal team for the great job done.My sincere thanks to all members and leaders of the Party who have stood united together in this period of great uncertainty” Subra noted in his press statement released after the Federal Court decision.
