Ampang – MIC President and Health Minister, Datuk Seri Dr.S.Subramaniam yesterday inaugurated the ground breaking ceremony for the extension building of Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan Tamil Ampang.
SJKT Ampang has been in existence for the last 63 years. It started as a 3 class room, single wooden block school back in 1954 and today it has developed into 3 blocks of 3 storey building housing about 540 students.

The ground breaking ceremony yesterday was for a new 3 storey block to accommodate the current needs of the school and increasing number of students.
The ground breaking ceremony was officiated by Dr.S.Subramaniam. Deputy Education Minister, Dato P.Kamalanathan, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Datuk M.Saravanan, and Director of SEDIC Professor Datuk N.S.Rajendran also attended the event.
Several MIC leaders from Ampang Jaya MIC Division, and MIC CWC members also participated at the event.
