Kuala Lumpur – MIC President and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S.Subramaniam has extended his deepest condolences to the family former Singapore President S.R.Nathan, on his demise.
“My deepest condolences to the family of the former President of Singapore Mr.SR Nathan on his sudden demise. The former President was a good friend of mine and we had many good discussions on the common history which binds Malaysia and Singapore together.He had many Malaysian friends and relatives and held those relationships very close to his heart. We have lost a great leader .On this moment of grief i would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Singapore.My prayers for his soul to rest in peace” Dr Subramaniam said in a press statement released in Kuala Lumpur.
Dr Subramaniam (pic) is currently in Peru attending the APEC Peru 2016 conference.
S.R.Nathan, the longest serving President of Singapore passed away on Monday. He will be accorded a state funeral which will take place on Friday 26th of August 2016.
