KUALA LUMPUR: The seat allocation among Pakatan Rakyat component parties is almost complete, said Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim(Pic) today.

“We will reveal the details soon,” he said, before hastily ending the press conference held at the PAS headquarters here

Also present were PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, deputy president Mohamad Sabu, DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and several other Pakatan senior leaders.

Earlier, Anwar and his fellow Pakatan partners reiterated their call on Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak to convene an emergency parliamentary sitting to discuss about the intrusion in Lahad Datu.

anwar-sarawak-electionLim echoed Anwar’s call, saying it was important with the recent announcement by the Philippines government that it has no plans to drop its claim on Sabah.

“This is serious and we need to call for a parliamentary sitting to discuss this. If the prime minister has no plans to dissolve the Parliament in the next three days, then he must call for a sitting in the next 48 hours.

“On top of that, let us pay proper respect to our fallen heroes in Parliament. I can’t understand why Najib is not doing it,” said the Ipoh Timur MP.

Asked on whether Pakatan would support the establishment of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to probe the incident, Anwar said that it was important for the emergency sitting to be convened first before forming a RCI.

“Be transparent on what’s happening in Lahad Datu. Parliament is the best avenue for it,” said the Permatang Pauh MP.

Pressed on Pakatan’s support for the RCI, Anwar said: “We will have to see its terms of reference first.”

Lim added: “Let’s see whether the home minister will take up the matter at the Cabinet meeting tomorrow.”

Last week, Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said that the government had not ruled out the possibility of establishing a RCI to probe claims that there were third party involvement in the intrusion in Lahad Datu.

His calls also received the support from former prime minister, Dr Mahathir Mohamad
