Adobe has added a new scan function to its Acrobat Reader app, allowing smartphone and tablet users to snap pictures of photos or documents and save them as PDFs.
Adobe provides various software packages to make PDF files, including a new free app which can convert scans into the format.
Users can then edit and rotate individual PDFs and make them into a single PDF and reorder them. Users can also make comments on PDFs using sticky notes and drawing tools.
The PDFs can then be shared via email, messenger services or online storage services.
The app requires iOS 9.0 or Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and higher.
