New Delhi – India’s Supreme Court today ordered Maxis owner Ananda Krishnan to appear before them within two weeks to answer charges filed against Maxis in the Aircel-Maxis case. The court also warned if Ananda Krishnan fails to appear as directed, the spectrum owned by Maxis through its subsidiary Aircel shall be seized and transferred to other bidders.
In September 2016, India’s Supreme Court had issued arrest warrants against Ananda Krishnan and his former business confidante Ralph Marshall for failing to appear before the court in relation to 2-G case being heard by a Special court constituted by the Supreme Court.
