21 March 2013-Siddharth has quashed rumours of getting married ‘secretly’ to Samantha, who has worked with him in the past in some movies. Samantha had a rather productive year in 2012 vis-à-vis her career in Tamil films is concerned. She had Naan Ee turning out to be a super hit but had to endure the not-so-successful outing of the much expected Neethanae En Ponvasantham which flattered to deceive at the box-office.
Reports in the Telugu press said a couple of days back that Siddharth and Samantha had been to the Kalahasti Temple in Andhra Pradesh after getting married ‘secretly’ an an undisclosed destination. The report claimed that the duo resembled a newly-married couple and behaved so while worshipping and going around the Temple’s precincts. The duo is said to have performed several special ‘pooja’ to make their future strong.
Siddharth, however, has denied that the wedding took place. “It’s totally far from the truth. As such, there are no plans to get married to Samantha,” he has said. Sid, who debuted in Shankar’s Boys almost a decade back, hasn’t been doing many films in Tamil as he does in Telugu. He now has a solitary Tamil film Theeya Velai Seyyanum Kumaru opposite Hansika.
But our sources revealed that Siddharth and Samantha indeed visited the Kalahasti Temple but they did so only with the respective family members accompanying them. Sid has also requested the media to be more responsible in its reporting.
