NUSAJAYA, March 26 – DAP advisor Lim Kit Siang(Pic) today proposed that the legislative assemblies of states under Pakatan Rakyat rule dissolve simultaneously with the dissolution of parliament to pave the way for the next general election.
Among the four states under Pakatan Rakyat rule, Selangor will see the term of its legislative assembly end first, on April 20, followed by Kelantan, six days later. Pakatan Rakyat also administers Penang and Kedah. Lim said it would be better for all the legislative assemblies in states administered by Pakatan Rakyat to dissolve simultaneously with parliament for the elections to be held at the same time.
The simultaneous dissolution would save voters from any inconvenience,” he told reporters after opening the Gelang Patah DAP operations centre, here.
