Sunther Subramaniam resigns from MIC positions


Kuala Lumpur – MIC CWC member Datuk Sunther Subramaniam (pic) has announced his resignation from all his party positions in MIC with immediate effect. He is currently the Branch Chairman of MIC Old Kelang Road branch which was once headed by his father Tan Sri S.Subramaniam, who was also Deputy President of MIC for more than 25 years.

Sunther is also a nominated Central Working Committee (CWC) member.

Tamil daily Makkal Osai reported that Sunther has submitted his letter of resignation to MIC headquarters.


When contacted by selliyal.com Sunther Subramaniam confirmed his resignation but did not cite any reasons for his decision.

“I will continue my community work through Osai Foundation which I am heading. I will also continue with my involvement in Makkal Osai Tamil daily. Meanwhile, I am ready and willing to work with any political or community affiliations for the betterment of all Malaysians and in particular, the Indian community” Sunther told selliyal.com.
