GEORGE TOWN, March 29 – The Penang Wanita Barisan Nasional (BN) today urged the federal government to speed up the formation of a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate the mastermind for the incursion by armed foreigners in Lahad Datu, Sabah.
Its chairman, Datuk Ng Siew Lai(Pic) said the investigation on the claim that a leader of an opposition party was involved in the intrusion, which resulted in 10 members of the security forces being killed, was also appropriate to protect national security.
“We want to know who is actually the country’s traitor. With the formation of the commission, the conspiracy can be uncovered and stopped immediately,” she told reporters here today.
Earlier, the Wanita BN held a ceremony to honour the national heroes who died in the Ops Daulat in Lahad Datu by observing a moment of silence while holding white roses for about three minutes. The event was held at the state BN office, here and attended by all the wanita leaders of the BN component parties.
