SEREMBAN — The Negeri Sembilan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) today lodged a police report regarding the action of social website account owner who had cursed Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
Deputy head of the state Bersatu Eddin Syazlee Shith said the police report was lodged as the statement by the account owner was slanderous and provocative to Dr Mahathir which could be clearly seen as a threat to the safety of the Prime Minister.
“His action was clearly racial in nature and could threaten national integrity and it was made directly to jeopardise the existing solidarity between the multi-racial community in our country.
“We want the action to be investigated under the criminal code under whichever provision that is suitable, and we want him to be called up to explain and be responsible for his action,”he told reporters after making the police report at the Seremban 2 Police Station accompanied by 50 members of the party, here tonight.
The report lodged by Eddin Syazlee, who is also Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister, was made after the social website account owner identified as Mohd Mozas had issued the derogatory words against Dr Mahathir and among the status he had uploaded was “Mahathir..dengar sini!! 75% Melayu sekarang sedang mohon hang mampos esok! Haram jadah punya binatang!!”. (“Mahathir…listen here!! 75% of the Malays are now asking that you die tomorrow! You worthless animal!!)
