KUANTAN — All problems and commotions that cropped up during the election for the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leadership in Kedah and Penang yesterday will be discussed in detail at the party’s Political Bureau Meeting on Tuesday (tomorrow September 25).

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar said everyone were told not to make any speculation which could make the situation worse.

“We will discuss the feedback received from our members seriously…don’t make any speculation now. The best is that we accept the information ‘bone fide’ that is with intention and opinion,”she said when met after officiating the Lantern Festival and Charity Sale, here tonight.

The event was attended by Pahang Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Fauzi Abdul Rahman and Pakatan Harapan Indera Mahkota chairman who is also Semambu State Assemblyman Lee Chean Chung.

Nurul Izzah said this when commenting on the commotion that occurred during the election at several PKR divisions in Kedah and Penang yesterday.

The commotion that arose due to the problems of the e-voting system resulted in the election in Perlis, Perak, Negeri Sembilan  and Melaka which should have been held today to be postponed to another date.

At the same time the results of the elections in Kedah were also cancelled and a re-election would be held at a date to be fixed later.

Following the commotion, police detained 13 men for three days beginning today to assist in the investigation on the fighting case that occurred at the Merbok PKR divisional election.
