Steps to get a hot oil hair treatment at home:
Get hair oil: There are many hair oils that can be used for this treatment. Almond oil, castor oil or coconut oil, you can pick up any variety you want and suits your hair. If you wish, you can mix all the 3 oils in a bowl. Almond oil increases hair growth, coconut oil nourishes the hair and castor oil is known for hair growth benefits.
Wash your hair: Once you have arranged a hair oil, wet your hair with water. You can use a mild shampoo if required, but it is best to wash with cold water. It opens the hair follicles and allows the oil to penetrate inside.
Heat oil: Hold the bowl and heat it on a low flame for few seconds. Carefully check if the oil is warm to touch or not. If so, put the bowl off flame and then start applying on the hair. Make sure you apply the hot oil on the scalp as well as hair.
Massage: Gently start massaging your scalp with your fingertips. Massage for 5-10 minutes to relax and increase blood flow in the body. Wrap up: Wrap your hair with a towel and leave it for 30 minutes. If you want, you can heat the towel with a hair dryer to try the hot oil hair treatment.
Rinse: Once you are done, wash the hair with a mild shampoo and follow up with a hair conditioner.
