Putra Jaya – Senator Waytha Moorthy, Minister in Prime Department, with a view to solve the impasse, held discussions with the developers involved in the relocation of Sea Field Maha Mariamman Temple and have requested them to halt the enforcement of the writ of Possession order until discussions are held with other concerned parties to arrive at an amicable solution
The following is the full text of the press statement released by Waytha Moorthy:
“The Associate Director of MCT Berhad, the parent company of One City Development Sdn Bhd (Developer/ Owner), along with three of their senior staffs and their lawyers, had visited our office today (17/10/2018), for a discussion on the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple.
They had briefed us on the consent judgment along with copious law suits between them, Chellappa a/l K.Kalimuthu and Nagaraju a/l Merganathan.
Our office had also sighted the Temple Management Lawsuit and its court order between Chellapa a/l K. Kalimuthu against Nagaraju a/l Merganathan and another 9 other defendants on who is the rightful person to administer the affairs of the temple.
Further we have been made to understand that in July, 2018 four (4) new defendants have filed a statement of claim seeking several declarations and orders against One City Development Sdn Bhd, Chellapa a/l K. Kalimuthu, Selangor State Government, and Registrar of Society.
From above information, the documents produced, and our discussion with the Developer/ Owner, we had requested them to halt on enforcing the writ of Possession order until we have the opportunity to speak to the other relevant parties who are involved.”
