PUTRAJAYA — Former Auditor-General Tan Sri Ambrin Buang (pic) spent more than seven hours at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Headquarters here to give a statement.

The vehicle carrying Ambrin left the MACC Headquarters at 9.30 pm after he concluded giving his statement on the investigation into the amended Final Audit Report on the 1Malaysia  Development Berhad (1MDB).

Earlier, Ambrin arrived at about 2 pm in a black Proton Perdana car.

His presence was believed to be to assist in the investigation following the disclosure by the Auditor-General Tan Sri Dr Madinah Mohamad on November 25 that the 1MDB final audit report had been amended and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak knew about the matter.

Among others, Madinah disclosed that two crucial matters that had been dropped from the report were the presence of businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low at one of the meetings of the 1MDB Board of Directors and the financial status of 1MDB.

Besides Ambrin, also called to give a statement today regarding the same matter was former MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad.
