GEORGE TOWN, April 3 – Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) will contest in two parliamentary and three state seats in Penang in the 13th general election. PCM vice-president Huan Cheng Guan(pic) said the party planned to field candidates in the parliamentyry seats of Bagan and Batu Kawan Parliament seats and the Komtar, Machang Bubuk state seats, He said the party was also eyeing another seat but this was still being discussed.
“PCM is an independent party and will support and cooperate with any party which does the correct work,” he told Bernama here today. Huan, is a former Gerakan vice-president and ex-Batu Kawan Member of Parliament (2004-2008).
In the last general election, he failed to defend the Bukit Tambun state seat for the Barisan Nasional. Subsequently, he left Gerakan and joined PCM which was set up in 2009, which also has several DAP supporters as its members.
