PITAS, April 8 – Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri(pic) has appealed to the people of Sabah to give a strong mandate to the leadership of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and the Barisan Nasional (BN) in the coming general election. Abdul Rahim, who was the former Member of Parliament for Kudat, said the people should not be using the general election as a test as it was a serious matter and had significant implication on the future of the country.
“Politics in the democratic system determines the power of administration and also the policies and direction of a particular nation,” he said at a public gathering at Kampung Senaja, near here, last night.
Abdul Rahim said the many negative developments and mistakes occurring in the foreign countries should be used as a lesson so that they would not occur in this country.
