LUMUT, April 9 – Perak PAS tonight stressed that it would be contesting 22 state and seven parliamentary seats in the upcoming 13th General Election. State PAS commissioner Abu Bakar Hussain speaking to reporters at the state PAS headquarters in Kampung Permatang, Pasir Panjang near here, also announced that former Perak menteri besar and state deputy PAS commissioner Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin would be contesting the Changkat Jering state seat which was contested by PKR in the last general election.
Lumut PAS women’s wing head Rohawati Abidin has been slated to replace Nizar in the Pasir Panjang state seat while PAS Central Committee member Idris Ahmad has been named as Nizar’s replacement for the Bukit Gantang parliamentary seat.
Larut PAS Youth head Nazri Din was named as the candidate for the Kubu Gajah state seat.
