11 April 2013-Col. R.Hariharan(pic) , senior army officer of the India peace force served in SriLanka said Lankan defence secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa permitted to hold investigations on providing military training to LTTE by India.
International community which urged to hold investigations on war crimes committed by the Lankan government later on ordered to commence investigations since Indian interference in the Lankan issue.
Speaking to BBC Tamil Oosai Hariharan alleged at present Mahinda Rajapaksa government willing to mislead the pressures made by the international community.
Hariharan said in 1980 India provided military training to LTTE and other armed groups in SriLanka. However all these training were ended up in 1987 agreement.
At present United Nation together with international community urge to hold investigations on war crime allegations reported in 2009, he said.
