IPOH, April 13 – The Perak Barisan Nasional (BN) ‘Blue Wave’ is ready with a united front and pledged loyalty to be the coalition’s frontliners throughout the state in its determination to win the 13th general election (GE13 soon.
At the launching of the Perak BN GE13 Machinery at the Stadium Indera Mulia, here tonight, almost 8,000 members of the coalition, especially the younger generation, pledged aloud their resolve to ensure the BN victory in all the Parliamentary and state constituencies in Perak.
They also pledged their loyalty to become the machinery for any candidate selected by the top party leadership. In addition, the presence of former Perak menteri besar Tan Sri Tajol Rosli Ghazali, whom the BN described as its ‘father’ also received loud applause from members of the machinery tonight which clearly dismissed the report by a newspaper yesterday as merely a ploy by the opposition.
Perak BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir, who is also the state GE13 director, in his speech said that every BN machinery formed a strong supporter of the coalition. Also present with the BN machinery were Perak Umno deputy chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah, Gerakan deputy president Datuk Chang Ko Youn, MCA secretary-general Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, Perak MIC deputy chairman Datuk R.
Ganesan, other BN component party leaders and division heads of the BN component parties. At a press conference later, Zambry said the move by Tajol Rosli, the incumbent assemblyman for Batu Kurau, Datuk Najmuddin Elias and incumbent assemblyman for Manjoi, Datuk Mohd Nadzri Ismail who announced that they would not be defending their seats to make way for new faces in the GE13 was a wise move.
