DUNGUN, April 13 – PAS secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali alleged that Umno was desperate enough to lie in order to drop him from the country’s political arena. Speaking during a function at the PAS headquarters in Kampung Molek, here tonight, he said UMNO was responsible for all the lies against him in the media.
“That’s normal for Umno. They are willing to employ dirty tactics to spread lies…I am their latest victim,” he said. Mustafa stressed that he will let his lawyers Asmuni Awi and Hanifah Maidin through Tetuan Awi & Co to respond to the issue. He also denied resigning after photos and obscene DVDs purportedly involving him were circulated.
“I can’t be bothered to entertain the media because of the lies, there are blogs that say I have resigned as PAS secretary-general because of the video.
“I am still alive and still PAS secretary-general. I am not affected by this. I understand the newspapers,” he added.
