He said that despite having the right to choose change, he said this was not necessary if the desired changes were effectively brought about by the Government’s transformation.
“Some people are attracted to change and seek to change what they have today.
“What is important is not changing the existing structures but the effectiveness of change brought about by the Government,” he said in a speech when launching the TBS integrated terminal in Bandar Tasik Selatan today.
He said that certain quarters, particularly the Opposition, were quick to doubt and condemn the Government for its effort.
However, he said, some of the glowing successes over the years have been accepted by the Opposition.
This, he said, included iconic national symbols such as the Petronas Twin Towers, KL International Airport and the Penang Bridge. The TBS integrated terminal was be one such success.
The RM570mil design and build project, by Maju Holdings Bhd was completed in November 2010 with operations begining in January 2011.
The project, which is part of the National Key Result Area to improve and enhance urban public transportation services, covers 20ha with the terminal currently able to handle 900 daily trips for 25,000 passengers.
