KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 – Students and senior citizens can comfortably enjoy any movie in any TGV Cinema nationwide on weekdays from 12pm to 6pm at a special rate, from April 18, without the hustle and bustle of the peak-hour mall crowd.
In a statement today, cinema chain operator TGV Cinemas Sdn Bhd (TGV) said it has also introduced two new popcorn flavours — popcorn royale and hot and spicy, the latter available for a limited time only.
Chief Executive Officer Gerald V. Dibbayawan said: “This is just a simple gesture on our part to continue nurturing the movie-enjoying culture and making this pastime much more economical.”
TGV Cinemas said it had earlier introduced its newly refurbished TGV Cinemas at 1 Utama Shopping Mall and simultaneously launched its second IMAX cinema. TGV Cinemas, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tanjong Public Ltd Co, currently has 21 multiplexes with 167 screens and some 31,043 seats in its fold.
