KUALA LUMPUR, April 22 – The Barisan Nasional’s (BN) candidate for the Kota Raja parliamentary seat Datuk S. Murugesan has promised to carry out five key missions for its constituents if he is returned as their MP in the 13th General Election (GE13) on May 5.
In his campaign flyer, copies of which were distributed to the people in the constituency, Murugesan said they were the security and safety aspects, flood mitigation, upkeep of roads, setting up of five 1Malaysia clinics – three in the Seri Andalas state constituency and two in the Sri Muda state consituency – and childcare centres.
Seri Andalas and Sri Muda are state seats under the Kota Raja constituency. Murugesan, 49, who is also MIC secretary-general, said these matters had been neglected by the Pakatan government in Selangor.
“I aim to give the best service to the people and try to resolve their problems to the best of my ability,” he said when contacted by Bernama. In the last general election, the BN lost Kota Raja, Seri Andalas and Sri Muda to the opposition.
