KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak today expressed the hope that Malaysians will give a chance to the Barisan Nasional’s new candidates, who represent the new generation of the country’s leaders, to serve them.

He said each candidate, whether male or female, chosen by the BN had high spirit of dedication to serve the people well.

He said the list of BN candidates for the May 5 general election was a balanced list incorporating experienced individuals and those who were young and had new ideas in implementing the government’s transformation policies.

“We are aware that the times have changed and that’s why the Barisan Nasional too will constantly follow the tide of change.

“To do that, I urge you to take the time to get to know them more closely and to hear their explanation on the progress and vision that they want to bring to the constituencies that they are contesting in and also to our nation,” he said in his latest posting in the www.1malaysia.com.my/bnbaru blog entitled “Transformation Team”.

The posting also showed part of a picture of the new faces that are contesting under the BN banner in the general election.

Meanwhile, in his Facebook page, Najib, who is also BN chairman, said he was personally involved in choosing the new BN candidates who were regarded as being of calibre and highly qualified, in keeping with people’s aspirations all this while.

“This election is not easy because we in the BN have to take various aspects into account so that we can give the people the best choices,” he said.

Najib added that with the combination of new and experienced candidates, he hoped that the BN would win the election to once again serve the people in the country.

“To get to know the new BN candidates in your constituencies, you can go to my blog at www.1malaysia.com.my/bnbaru,” he said.
