IPOH, April 24 – Perak opposition pact chairman Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin today denied that they plagiarised the Perak Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto. The allegation was baseless because their manifesto was announced one week earlier than the BN’s, said Mohammad Nizar, who is also Perak PAS deputy commissioner.
“Our manifesto is original and is not copied from any party. In fact, it was ready in November last year before it was improved and finalised in January.
“It was then announced last week. So, I’m strongly denying that there are elements of plagiarism in our manifesto,” he told reporters at PAS’ office here. Mohammad Nizar, who is vying for the Changkat Jering state seat in the May 5 general election, also challenged Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir for a public debate on their respective manifestos.
