KUALA LUMPUR: Anwar Ibrahim said today that he will not defend any members of Pakatan Rakyat if found to be involved in political violence.
He was responding to speculation that Pakatan is behind the two petrol bombs thrown at the Barisan Nasional election operations room in Sekinchan yesterday.
Two nights ago, an explosion also occurred near the Nibong Tebal BN election operations room in Penang.
“I am not surprised [that people are blaming Pakatan], because everything that happens in this country [the response is] ‘Ini salah Anwar’ (it is Anwar’s fault),” quipped the de facto PKR leader at the party’s headquarters here.
“I am calling for an immediate investigation and will not defend if anyone in Pakatan was involved,” he said.
