George Town – Penang EXCO member and State Assemblyman for Perai Dato Seri Sundarajoo Somu, grew up in Brickfields during his young days. Upon hearing the demise of Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan Sundarajoo shared his views on her contributions to the Malaysian society.
“My deepest condolences on the passing of the late Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan. I still have vivid memories of the late Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan’s contributions to the betterment of the Brickfields neighbourhood from my childhood. She made a significant contribution to the well-being of the Malaysian Indian community. Her sincere leadership has had a profound effect on many lives, including mine. May we honour Tan Sri Devaki during this time of mourning for her contributions to the betterment of our country” Sundarajoo posted on his face book page, with a photograph taken with Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan.
Tan Sri Devaki Krishnan with an impeccable record in public life passed away on the 20th of January 2024.
