New Delhi, May 17- All three Rajasthan Royals cricketers Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila have confessed to their role in spot-fixing, claimed police sources on Friday.
Police sources claimed Chavan has admitted that he has made a mistake and said he is a part of the fixing ring. Sreesanth also broke down during the interrogation and blamed his friend Jiju for luring him into spot-fixing.
Earlier, sources have claimed bookies have supplied call girls to cricketers Sreesanth and Ajit Chandila. The transcripts have revealed that bookies arranged call girls for Rajasthan Royals players.
They also claimed that Sreesanth was with a woman when he was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell.
Meanwhile, players are cooperating with the investigators and about 11 more bookies are likely to be arrested.
Reports suggest that more players likely to be investigated after the interrogation of the arrested accused.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate is likely to start probing IPL spot-fixing scandal and may register case under FEMA.
The Delhi Police Special Cell is conducting raids in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan to nab more bookies.
Reports also claimed that the players seem to be guilt-ridden and ashamed especially when they were confronted with details of the escort service and their party fuelled life style.
Reports also said that bookies tried to approach more Rajasthan Royals players for spot-fixing and held a party for them on April 6 in Mumbai but most of the players didn’t turn up.
