May 20- Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Rajasthan Royals will file FIR against the three arrested players for cheating the public.
S. Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan have been arrested for spot-fixing.
Sreesanth has confessed to his crime. Mumbai Police on Saturday also seized Sreesanth’s laptop, i-pad, phones, cash and diaries after they raided a hotel where the cricketer was staying for sometime.
The BCCI is under intense pressure to take a tough stand as it is the second case of spot-fixing in the cash-rich IPL and indications are that they could even contemplate handing out life bans on the basis of preliminary report by its anti-corruption unit.
