Rosmah receives courtesy call from crown Princess of Norway

RosmahPUTRAJAYA, May 28- Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway paid a courtesy call on the prime minister’s wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, at the prime minister’s official residence, Seri Perdana, here, today.

Also present were Norway’s ambassador to Malaysia Hans Ola Urstad and  Malaysia’s Foreign Minister’s wife, Datin Seri Siti Rubiah Abdul Samad.  Mette-Marit is in Malaysia for the Women Deliver Conference 2013, which  starts today and will end on Thursday at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) in Kuala Lumpur.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will deliver the opening address  at the landmark Women Deliver Conference 2013.

More than 3,000 delegates including policy-makers, advocates and world leaders representing over 150 countries will convene for the Women Deliver 2013 Conference, the decade’s largest meeting focused on girls and women’s health and rights.

Malaysia is the first Asian country to be given the honour to host the three-day global conference, which was previously held in London and Washington D.C.

Among the notable speakers are co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Melinda Gates, board member of the Clinton Foundation Chelsea Clinton, executive director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Dr Babatunde Osotimehin and president of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America Cecile Richards.
