June 7 – MIC Petaling Jaya Selatan division chairman Senator V.Subramaniam, popularly known as Barat Maniam has received the ‘PJN’ award from Yang Di Pertuan Agong which carries the title ‘Datuk’.
V.Subramaniam is also the Chairman of Selangor Badminton Association. He also serves as the national vice-president of Malaysian Badminton Association.
He has been active in MIC politics for many years helming the Petaling Jaya Selatan MIC division. He was appointed as a Senator last year.
