KOTA KINABALU, June 10- Women’s associations must make plans that are appropriate with current developments, said Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datuk Azizah Mohd Dun (photo).
She said the associations must review the current roles of women before drawing up their plans in order to contribute better towards national development.
“Women must transform themselves. We must look at how we can carry out our duties to family and society effectively, and simultaneously take part in national development,” she said when opening the annual meeting of the Sabah Women’s Group (PPS), here, today.
Azizah, who is also PPS president, said women’s association must also carry out activities which could draw young women to involve themselves in efforts to develop women.
“Women’s associations must have new members. We must actively seek to boost our membership from among young women so that our struggle will always be relevant,” she added.
