KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 – Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), PAS and DAP will from today until Wednesday, file 25 petitions for parliamentary seats and another 10 for state seats that these opposition parties contested in the recent 13th general election.
PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli said PKR would be filing 19 parliamentary seat petitions and one state seat petition, while PAS four and nine respectively and DAP, two petitions for parliamentary seats.
He said the petitions would be filed in the respective high courts according to the constituencies involved.
Three weeks later, these opposition parties would be filing their suits against the Election Commission chairman, deputy chairman and SPR members for failing to ensure the ink used on voters was indelible.
Rafizi said this at a press conference held at the PKR headquarters, here, today.
“Besides that, PKR will seek for Section 9A of the Election Offences Act 1954 (Amended 2000) to be challenged in court,” he added.
