JUNE 16- The industry saw it coming, and fans made it happen – Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone-starrer “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” has collected Rs.155.28 crore and has become the third highest grosser of all time after “3 Idiots” and “Ek Tha Tiger”.
The film added another Rs.47.67 crore in week two taking the two week business of the film to Rs.155 crore.
The second week figures are the second highest ever after “3 Idiots” which collected around Rs.56 crore. It is also only the second film ever to collect Rs.40 crore or more in the second week.
A hit among the youths and elders alike, the movie has won the audience’s heart with its well-suited cast, beautiful cinematography in snow-laden mountains, earthy locales of Udaipur and more, peppy music, exciting dance moves and a predictable, but well-executed script.
