JULY 5- A recent report claimed that the Korean technology major has sold over 20 million units of its flagship handset Samsung Galaxy S4 since its commercial launch in April 2013.
The report said Samsung has achieved this by the end of June. In a similar revelation in May, Samsung had claimed that it sold 10 million units of Galaxy S4 smartphone in just one month after the launch, making it the fastest selling Android device.
There is no official announcement by the handset maker about recent sales of Galaxy S4. However, it is understood to have set a target of selling 100 million units.
Several other variants of the Samsung’s flagship smartphone have also been launched in the markets.
Additionally, if the latest tech leaks are to be believed, Samsung Galaxy S5 could be very much in the works and may feature a finger print detection technology. There have been several leaks and speculations in this regard.
Given the reputation of the South Korean technology giant for its constant product innovation, what has emerged as a rumour now may turn out to be true in the future as far as Galaxy S5 is concerned.
