The students, from the University of Malaya, are attending the programme designed for those from families which have been residing in Malaysia for over three generations, reported The Hindu newspaper.
Speaking at the inauguration of the programme, VIT Chancellor G. Viswanathan (photo) advised the participants to make use of the course to know about their ancestors and their way of life.
The course is particularly aimed at those interested to learn more about Tamil culture, with reference to the several rulers and kings in the ancient state of Tamil Nadu.
