KUALA BESUT, July 16- Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Kuala Besut state by-election Tengku Zaihan Che Ku Abd Rahman is confident that his personal touch will help him woo more voters during Ramadan compared to ceramah activity.
“Since the by-election is held in the fasting month, I’m using a personal touch by inviting the residents to attend the breaking of fast, Tarawih prayer and moreh with me.
“Besides, we will also organise family gatherings in which I will also attend and introduce myself,” he told reporters after going on a walkabout at a Farmers’ Market here yesterday.
He said he believed the go-to-the-ground approach to meet the residents, regardless of the race and political belief, would be more satisfying for the people.
“Meeting with the people face to face is the best campaign strategy in understanding their problems and bringing us closer to each other,” he said.
Meanwhile, Tengku Zaihan said he was also satisfied with the support given by the young voters so far.
“Alhamdulillah (All praise be to Allah), supports from the voters were overwhelming and positive. I will make optimal use of the remaining campaign period to meet with more voters,” he added.
